[ grandma ]

This is Grandma's quilt. When she was here visiting she made a comment about my quilting, and right then and there I decided to make her one. I made it with a bundle of fat quarters, blues and greens and it's a small one, 51" x 51 ", perfect for her lap.
I am backing it with some coordinating paisley fabric, binding will be the same as well. I am hoping to have this one finished and in the mail before summer is over.

This is one of my favorites. I picked it up from the quilt shop yesterday and scurried home to start the binding. Remember how I said I was always having problems with my binding coming out cruddy ? I did some things a little different this time, and the results were awesome !

While I was at the quilt shop I dropped off my Christmas quilt, another woman is taking in quilts and I decided to give her a try. I am hoping her turn around time is better than 5 months.

Took me an afternoon to put together. The longest part was just trying to decide what I wanted to do.

I love the colors. Dropping it off at the long arm quilters this Friday.

My sewing machine was making a horrible wheezing sound, just as I was finishing the top to this quilt. That's never a good sign.
